Youth Camp
An overnight program for youth.
Youth camp is all about Christ! Throughout the week, campers are challenged to take the next step in their relationship with Jesus - whether that be meeting Him for the first time or growing deeper in their walk with Him.
A typical day is packed with team activities & competitions, small group time, morning & evening sessions and worship, and many other recreation options like our all-time favorite - Burning Bridges!

Meet Luther Payette
Youth Director
Luther has grown up attending Mooers Camp Meeting from a very young age, he became a camper in the youth program in 2010 and has been involved ever since. Every year Mooers Camp has been the highlight of the summer for him and has always been a special place. Throughout his time at camp Luther connected with new friends, made unforgettable memories and most importantly developed a relationship with God. Luther has a passion for serving God and helping teenagers grow spiritually and emotionally. Luther’s great experiences in the youth program were largely due to the amazing counselors and staff who reflected Jesus in their teaching and lifestyle when he was a camper, without these examples of what being a Christian looks like Luther would never have been impacted in such a great way. He now wishes to reflect those same values and characteristics to upcoming youth and set an example for what it means to be Christian.
Luther grew up in New Hampshire on a small family farm, in 2016 he went to Xavier University in Cincinnati Ohio, and graduated in 2020 with a Bachelors in economics. He has since taken a job in Cincinnati, and currently lives there. When Luther is not working you will most likely find him playing basketball, fishing, or enjoying the outdoors.
Meet our Nurse!
Rachel Kern, RN
Rachel has been faithfully attending Mooers Camp Meeting for over 20 years and has been working as a camp nurse for about 4 years. She has been an RN for 6 years, working with and ministering to, patients battling cancer and those who are facing end of life.
"I have been following the Lord's leading for over 25 years. I have a wonderful father and mother (pastor and wife team for the Mooers Wesleyan Church), two amazing sisters, two great brothers-in-law and two beautiful nieces whom I get to spoil. I LOVE working with the Mooers Camp Youth. They hold a special place in my heart, and I am excited to see what the Lord has in store for us this year."
Fun Fact about Rachel: "I can pick up a pencil with my toes and write my name with it (hehe)."
